2024 Highlights 

 

 

Community Engagement:

 

This year, the Teesside Lupus Support Group organised several successful events that brought our community together. Our annual Christmas party provided a joyful celebration, creating an opportunity for members to connect and share experiences. The family fun day was a highlight, offering activities that strengthened the bonds within our community. Additionally, the Lupus and Empowering Lives event was a pivotal moment, offering valuable support and information to our members.

 

Awareness Campaigns:

 

Continuing our mission to raise awareness about lupus, we held informative sessions that educated attendees about the condition. Our efforts extended to social media campaigns, which effectively engaged a broader audience, and our participation in local health fairs provided direct outreach to the community.

 

Support Services:

 

We expanded our one-on-one support services this year, offering personalised assistance to both newly diagnosed individuals and those living with lupus. This personalised support has been crucial in helping members manage their condition and find the assistance they need.

 

Partnerships:

 

We established new partnerships with local healthcare providers and advocacy organisations, enhancing our support network and enabling us to provide more comprehensive assistance to our members.

 

Achievements

 

Membership Growth: Our group saw a significant increase in membership throughout the year, a testament to the growing need for lupus support within the community.

 

Fundraising Success: Through various fundraising activities, we successfully raised substantial funds to support our initiatives and provide resources for our members.

 

Educational Resources: We developed and distributed educational materials, ensuring members have access to important information to better understand and manage lupus.

As we move into 2025, we are excited to continue our mission of supporting those affected by lupus. We look forward to more community events, expanding our support services, and raising even greater awareness about this challenging condition.
